Alex Pertout has unveiled his newest album, Quadrifoglio, on Nailuj Music (The Planet / MGM). This dynamic and innovative project highlights Pertout's original compositions, which were conceived, developed, arranged and produced, to celebrate the artistry of percussion and percussive improvisation across diverse creative landscapes. The album presents Pertout in both solo and duo performances, with the latter featuring collaborative improvisations alongside four globally renowned percussion virtuosi: legendary US conguero Raul Rekow, English multi-percussionist Pete Lockett, Egyptian tabla maestro Hossam Ramzy and with Australian master drummer David Jones.

Alex Pertout  EL JARDIN DEL RITMO
 

Alex Pertout has released a second single El Jardin del Ritmo (with Raul Rekow) from his album, Quadrifoglio, on Nailuj Music (The Planet / MGM). The performance features Pertout in a duo setting with one of his early inspirations and a longtime mentor, the legendary US conguero Raul Rekow from the Santana band. In this collaboration, Rekow showcases his signature style with remarkable improvisations on the quinto drum throughout the piece. Meanwhile, Pertout plays a set of bongos using sticks, engaging in lively and dynamic exchanges of varying lengths with Rekow during key sections of the composition.

The track showcases Pertout in a captivating duo performance with the renowned Egyptian percussionist and close friend, Hossam Ramzy, who lends his exceptional talent to the piece by playing the req, saga, duff, and his cherished Egyptian tabla.
